AIMS on the Internet
FBI CONNECTION, December
It's great to be on the fast track of business growth. But
when you don't have a comprehensive way to manage your information things can quickly spin
out of control. That's why the Fashion Business Incubator (FBI) and
Apparel Information Management System (AIMS) have created AIMS On
The Internet. Participating FBI members will now be able to run their
companies on the AIMS system via the Internet without having to purchase software or
equipment.
Originally introduced in 1984, the powerful AIMS system has been
sold to over 2,000 companies with annual sales ranging from less than $1,000,000 to over
$100,000,000. In the past, these companies had to invest a few thousand dollars for
even an entry-level system. Now, AIMS runs via the Internet on the Windows platform.
Henry Cherner, a principle of AIMS, made this statement about AIMS
On The Internet: "This exciting development will be of great benefit to the FBI
and its members. The AIMS system is tailored to the requirements of start up and
smaller apparel manufacturers and this Internet-based solution makes it accessible to
these companies. Not only is this online solution affordable, it requires no new
equipment and is easy to use."
FBI members enjoy an additional benefit from the organization's
fully-equipped computer lab where they will have the opportunity to receive hands-on
training.
Says Frances Harder, FBI executive director, "AIMS on the
Internet adds solid value to the FBI membership. It enables them to fast track their
business with state-of-the-art technology that was previously unavailable to most of
them."
