Installation Instructions

Download and install AIMS to either your local or network drive as is appropriate. The default location for installation is a home directory of C:\AIMS. If you want this installed on your server you can change the default install location during the install process. (For users currently on AIMS version 3.x this release should install over the existing release). For those using AIMS EDI please download the Label Matrix templates from the main download page and install them to your template directory as defined in your EDI>Configure EDI>File Locations screen.

If you are converting from a AIMS25D, AIMSVFP, or AIMSV20:
Please send an email to Support@aimstsi.com to request that a profile be sent to activate AIMS version 7. After AIMS has been initialized, you will have to run the conversion utility to import the data from your old AIMS version to this one. The conversion utility is located on the Utility/Administrative Functions menu. If you have more than one company you will have to run the conversion for each company individually, make sure you select the appropriate Data folder for the company you are logged into. You cannot run the conversion if there are any other users on either AIMS system!

New Version of FoxPro Required!
If this is the first time you are installing AIMS version 7, you must download and install the new FoxPro Runtime on all workstations that will be running this version of AIMS. Installing this version of FoxPro will not interfere with older versions.

New Profile
If this is the first time you installing AIMS version 7, please send an email to Support@aimstsi.com to request that a profile be sent to activate AIMS version 7.
